Summary

BrokkrStein is a role-playing game which is based on fantasy, gravity, and dwarf.

My role in this project

- Assistant Programmer: Quest, Dialogue (text & voice) and Shop (items & stats upgrade) systems.

These mainly make use of stored values in XML documents.  Specific information is called and checked through an 'ID' system. This 'ID' is manually assigned to things like NPC through public variables in the Unity inspector.

- Assistant Designer: Levels and Mechanics.

Layout and quests for the main level.

-Assistant Sound Designer: Voice-overs.

Recording and editing of voice-overs.

 

Plot of the Game

Upon waking up, the Brokkr found out that everyone has turned into stone statues and there are golems. Learning about the power and heirloom(BrokkrStein) that his family possesses, he sets out on a mission to turn everyone back to normal.

 

Game Mechanics

1) Lift

Lifts objects that can be thrown at enemies, causing damage. As this ability charges, the damage and throwing distance of object will be increased. Charging this ability fully will make it fatal.


2) Absorb

Absorbs enemies/objects around a target and blast them away upon contact. As this ability charges, the damage and range will be increased. Charging this ability fully will cause the enemies/objects to rotate around the targeted object, causing multiple instances of damages, making it deadly.


3) Seismic Heave

Ultimate ability, requires the ultimate bar to be fully charged. Leaps high into the air and smash the ground with BrokkrStein, releasing a shockwave that damages enemies in a range heavily. Boulders, which have high damage and throwing distance, will be spawned, allowing the player to gain access to more powerful objects to work with.

 

Goal

Progress in the story by doing missions and defeating the golem mastermind.
