Summary
Resurgency is a split-screen multiplayer game with shooting game elements. First-person and third-person camera modes are available.
My roles in this project
Designer - Most of the game mechanics, half of the level design, positioning of UI elements in different scenes.
Artist - Used 3ds Max to model the wall, doors and bomb. Used Adobe Photoshop CC to create textures for the floor, wall, doors,bomb and some UI elements. Attached animations to characters in Unity for poses in different scenes.
*All texture maps are done in 1024 x 1024, except ammoGUI (367 x 167) and
crosshairGUI (263 x 139).
Plot of the Game
Two special force members are trapped in a maze, separated away from each other. They will have to find each other and bombs that are scattered around the maze to breach their way out. However, they are not alone in this maze...
Fight through enemies and breach your way out of this maze with your friend. Look out for each other's back!
Game Mechanics
1) Bomb
Bombs are scattered throughout the maze level. You will have to find bombs to breach through walls to get to the objective.
2) Flashlight
Used not only to navigate through the dark but also to find your friend should any of you see each other's flashlight.
3) Guns & Ammo Crates
One player is equipped with a shotgun, the other with a dual pistol. Ammo crates are dropped by defeated enemies.
4) Switchable Camera View
First-person mode provides greater accuracy at the cost of a wider field of view, third-person mode provides a wider field of view at the cost of accuracy.
